In the first phase of this full-home renovation, we reimagined two of the home’s most high-traffic, high-functioning spaces: the laundry/mudroom and the primary ensuite. For this busy family of older teens and young adults, these spaces needed to work hard — but feel calm, elevated, and enduring.

The original mudroom and laundry were cramped and disconnected. By removing the dividing wall, we created a single, expansive utility space with room to breathe. Herringbone brick flooring, painted paneling in a rich, earthy tone, and aged brass hardware bring warmth, texture, and elevated farmhouse charm — all while standing up to hockey bags, laundry days, and dozens of shoes.

Upstairs, the primary ensuite was completely reimagined. We removed the dated corner tub, glass block shower and fractured layout in favour of a grounded, harmonious flow. Rustic Versailles stone floors, panelled warm wood, and unlacquered brass accents give the space a moody, earthy beauty — a space that feels like an exhale. It’s deeply personal, quietly luxurious, and built to last.
