A cherished retreat in the Waterloo community for over a decade, Pure + Simple has long been known for its commitment to natural skincare and elevated facial treatments. When owner Kate reached out to us, she was ready to reimagine the space she had poured her heart into for ten years. A devoted entrepreneur and busy mom of three, Kate dreamed of a spa that truly reflected the calm, warmth, and care she offers every client who walks through her doors.

The original space leaned cool and coastal, filled with blues, greens, and a more traditional spa aesthetic. Our goal was to create something softer and more grounded. A sanctuary that felt warm, nurturing, and deeply inviting. The result is a complete transformation into a layered, tranquil retreat that gently supports rest, renewal, and presence from the moment you arrive.

Throughout the space, you’ll find porcelain pigs thoughtfully placed as meaningful good-luck pieces Kate had from the very beginning. Each one was preserved, repurposed, and reintroduced into the design as a quiet nod to the history and heart behind the brand.

Designed and executed in just three weeks, this ambitious transformation required meticulous planning, absolute trust, and an iron-clad vision. The result is a serene new spa that supports both the client experience and the soul behind the business.
